A goal for the near future

My goal for the near future is to be more confident and to do well in all my classes. I want to accomplish this because I want to do the best that I can. Usually at the start of the year I am quite shy and I think that the more I contribute in the discussions the more confident I can be in class and outside of class.

I think that contribution is a big part of this goal because I think that if you are brave enough to share an opinion in class it can start more discussions or enrich other people’s opinions. Last year I was like this but at the moment I am not fully active this year; it takes a while and I think I just need to warm up. This is why this is a near future goal, as I am hoping to achieve this at the end of the month – where I can then excel from there in other aspects in class.

The notion of faith in Christianity can relate to this goal. As long as I have faith in myself then I can contribute to class and become more confident in myself – like putting faith in God when I am in bad times. Faith can be quite powerful if you trust yourself enough. I haven’t been able to put it to much use so far in the beginning of the year, but I really think that something is there and I just have to find it.

My motivation is that I want to make myself proud because of this wonderful opportunity and privilege of being able to go to George school, thus I also want to make my parents proud. I hope that this eventual goal will come soon because I want to get back into the nature of classes and actively participating and sharing my opinions.
